Employment Opportunities-Position Available June 2019

Part-Time Assistant Teacher (1-5:30 p.m.)

Join our talented team in an established American Montessori Society full member school where we inspire children to become intrinsically motivated lifelong learners with excellent problem-solving skills! We are looking for a patient, nurturing staff member who is willing to learn and guide children 15 months to 6 years of age on their journey to independence. Enjoy our respectful and collaborative team with highly supportive leadership. The Assistant Teacher is a valuable member of a team and is responsible for assisting the Head Teacher in maintaining a nurturing and peaceful educational environment.

A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred, but other degrees and Associate’s degrees will be considered. This opportunity begins in June 2019. This position may be perfect for parents of young children looking for a nurturing place for their own child and is great for individuals who have a keen interest in early childhood development. We seek staff members that are looking for a career and not a job that will be with us for the long-term. Compensation will vary according to education and experience, however pay begins at $11.10 per hour for applicants without a Bachelor’s degree. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Please send cover letter indicating interest in the position as well as a current resume addressed to Diane Lanci in order to be considered for the position.

*Please send both resume and cover letter as attachments to Diane Lanci, Head of School at:   owmontessori@gmail.com
