Jennifer Haggerty, Head of School
After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Elmira College in 1996, Jennifer stumbled upon a small Montessori school located in Corning, NY. She observed in several of their Primary classrooms and was fascinated by the Montessori approach to education. Jennifer received her Montessori Certification from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education/NY in 1997. She taught for several years in the Capital District at Woodland Hill Montessori School and the Montessori Toddlers’ and Children’s House before founding Our World Montessori. Jennifer lives in Guilderland, NY with her two daughters, both of whom attend Montessori schools.

Our teachers are a team of intelligent, loving, enthusiastic individuals dedicated to creating environments where children are respected and supported as they develop both a sense of self and a love of learning.
Our World Montessori maintains a strong commitment to the continuing education of our teachers. We encourage our staff to attend Montessori workshops and conferences on a regular basis and provide financial assistance for staff members to attend accredited Montessori Training Programs.
