Our World Montessori, LLC, is a vibrant community of learners. Our children explore and work together in a nurturing environment. Founded in 2004, Our World Montessori has grown from a small nursery program to a thriving school serving children from 18 months through kindergarten.
Our program is child-centered. Children learn through the exploration of self-chosen, hands-on materials. Understanding that children learn at their own pace and have a variety of interests, teachers plan lessons based on individual interest and readiness rather than chronological age.
A natural sense of wonder motivates these young learners to explore their connections to the world around them. They are learning how to get along with others as well as understanding each person’s responsibility to take care of not only our school environment, but also the wider community and our planet.
Our World Montessori has three classrooms: two primary rooms for children 3-6 years old and one toddler room. The children also have daily outdoor play in our gated playground as well as participating in nature walks with their classroom teachers. We also have a kindergarten transition program for our families that decide to send their children to local ½ day kindergarten but still would like their child to have an additional Montessori experience for their kindergarten year.
To meet the needs of working parents, we offer child care before school (beginning at 7:45am) and after school (until 5:30pm) for students enrolled in our Primary program. Additionally, we have expanded to include exciting enrichment days scheduled during school breaks and a 6-8 week summer camp program for children ages 18 months to 7 years.
